Fighting Registry Errors Easily With Fixing Software

Posted: under General Interest.
January 4th, 2009

Have you had this type of problem? A program you have been using every day for months or even years suddenly won’t load? Did your computer use to start up in seconds and now it seems to take forever? Odds are you have problems that need registry repair. What does that mean? Well, the system registry is a special directory on your Windows PC that keeps information about all the programs on your system

Any registry error requires skilled knowledge of PC’s and software and even if you like to do things yourself and belive that you know everything about Windows, the preferred way to repair a registry problem should be in doing a registry cleaner download.

Registry cleaner software will check your operating system and fix problems that it finds in the registry. Think of your computer as your garage or basement, where you store all the tools and items that are only picked up when needed. For you, the start menu, the windows explorer and the desktop, that’s your way of accessing these items. Now think of your memory as the place in your brain (the computer of your body) where the index of all these things is kept. That’s what the registry is. An inventory system.

The Windows XP registry is like any other Windows registry, and here is what Microsoft themselves have to say: Windows XP automatically makes what’s called a “restore point” every day, and when you do things like install a new program this helps it with recovery if there is a problem. You can also create your own restore points in Windows XP. According to Microsoft, you need a minimum of 200 megabytes of free disk for System Restore. If you don’t have it, XP won’t do it automatically. You still need a good XP registry cleaner, even with restore points. Our recommended software manages Vista too.

Each Windows operating system is different, obviously, and when it comes to registry cleaners, your choice in an XP registry cleaner is no different. Before buying or running a downloaded registry cleaner, check what we recommend here (follow the links). You don’t want to mess up your Windows registry and mess up your computer. It’s worth a few well spent bucks for the peace of mind to purchase a good piece of reliable software from a reputable company, one that specifically addresses your particular operating system, whether Windows XP or Vista.

What to look for in a wooden porch swing.

Posted: under General Interest.
January 4th, 2009

Before buying a wooden porch swing, it’s important to make sure that the swing you are buying meets a number of important criteria. Here is a list of what you should look for in a swing, along with some reasons why it’s important.

Hand Made – A hand made swing is certainly a must when buying a porch swing. This is because each piece is individually crafted, ensuring better cuts and a smoother finish.

Cypress – Cypress has been called the “eternal wood” because of its ability to stand up to the elements. A cypress swing is as durable as teak, while being as little as one-tenth the price! Don’t buy a swing made from exotic woods only to watch it rot on your porch.

Size – Be sure that the porch swing you choose is the correct size to fit on your porch, and to fit the number of people you expect to be swinging on it.

Accessories – Would you like your swing to have a cup holder? An interesting question, perhaps, but certainly something to think about. What will you want with you while on your porch swing? Keep that in mind when looking at what’s available.

The Porch Swings I Love Most

Of course, I have a very strong preference in porch swings. There is one particular artisan who builds beautiful, durable porch swings from Cypress. His name is Ted Leger (pronounced Lay-shay), and he’s based in Louisiana (where a lot of cypress trees grow). All of his swings are hand made, and he can ship anywhere in the USA.

Master Cleanse: The Secrets To Success

Posted: under General Interest.
January 4th, 2009

During my research into fasting, I came across the Master Cleanse diet, it appears to be a very popular one and is considered pretty solid. Most recently it was brought into the media’s attention again by Beyonce giving credit to the cleanse for their getting into shape.

After reading the reactions of others on the internet to the cleanse I found it very encouraging and also informative of what it truly takes to complete. A few of the people who I spoke with about the master cleanse diet who had attempted it did not have the discipline to get by the first two or three days. I’ve fasted in the past and never could last without eating at all as most fasts require. Technically, being a juice fast the master cleanse does offer some sustenance (the lemonade drink used for the cleanse is also why it is called the lemonade diet by some.)

The premise is simple, but simple does not equal easy.. Though the guidelines are few, the will power necessary to succeed is another thing altogether. Though I found a great book called the Master Cleanse Secrets that gives lots of tips & advice to make it much, much easier.

One thing touted is the weight loss from the diet but that was never my main concern. I am looking to get the toxin cleansing that it was originally created for. I’d been really run down lately and had read too many accounts of how mcuh better one can feel after fasting. That made me decide to give it one more chance.

The original book states to spend 10 days on the cleansing program, though I’ve heard of people staying on it longer. Like 20+ days long.. I had no intention of going longer than 5 days as a trial run to see how I reacted. Having never gotten past 48 hours in the past I am proud of my trial.

I have to give credit to the secrets book. It was a great resource that kept me going when I hit a sticking point . Just from reading it I had much more confidence in my chance of success. The extra confidence surely led to my success.

Luckily I went to see my doctor for a check-up recently so the timing was good. I strongly urge anyone interested in trying any kind of fast to speak with their doctor first to make sure everything is OK before diving in.

The final verdict: I feel much better after the 5 days and I am considering doing it again. Next time I will shoot for the full ten days. One suggestion I can offer is to take it easy when trasnitioning back into eating (the secrets book gives excellent guidance on this.)
